101 First Course in Russian - 5 hours lecture, 5 units (Letter Grade or Pass/No Pass Option)
Advisory: English 48 with a grade of "C" or better, or
equivalent, or Assessment Skill Level R5.
This is an entry level course designed to introduce
students to the Russian language and cultures of the
Russian-speaking world. In this interactive course,
students learn and use the language by speaking,
listening, reading, and writing at the novice level. Basic
language structures and vocabulary for
communication are examined and explored in
Russian. (FT) AA/AS; CSU; UC Transfer Limitation: Corresponds to two years of high school study.
