June Richards

June E. Richards Professor Emeritus June received her MA in directing. She is an accomplished stage actress, director and author. Ms. Richards appeared in multiple productions in a variety of theatre companies including; The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Ashland, the Actor's Workshop in San Francisco and Lincoln Center Repertory Theatre in New York City. Prior to her appointment in San Diego City College, June was Chair of the Performing Arts at Dominican College, San Rafael, CA; Chair of theatre arts at Contra Costa College where she served as Interim Dean, and Dean of Community Services. In addition to performing, she is an accomplished composer working with Berkeley Repertory Theatre, ACT (SF) and Seattle’s Intiman Theatre. Ms. Richards researched and wrote a musical based on the life of Sarah Bernhardt.
