Degree Requirements

The associate degree in Two- and Three- Dimensional Art requires completion of the courses listed below. Additional general education and graduation requirements for the associate degree are listed in the catalog. The associate degree requires a minimum of 60 units.

Many of the art courses for the major should to be taken in sequence. ARTF 110, ARTF 111, ARTF 150A, ARTF 151, ARTF 155A, ARTF 155B are the core courses that should be taken before the subject area courses, such as painting, ceramics and sculpture. Plan only taking two studio courses a semester. Taking more than two art studio courses (including graphic design and photography courses) during one semester, in most cases, is not advised.
