    Knights Use 7-Run 6th to Beat Mt. SAC, 7-3

    The Knights fell behind by two runs , but scored seven in the bottom of the sixth which was enough to beat Mt. San Antonio, 7-3, on Monday afternoon.

    J.R. Atterbury went 2-for-4 with two RBI and Kevin Garcia went 2-for-5 with one RBI.

    After five scoreless innings, Mt. San Antonio took a 2-0 lead in the top of the sixth inning. The Knights, however, came back in the bottom of the inning with seven runs to take a commanding 7-2 lead.

    Slater Putland drove in the first run with a bases loaded single to center field that brought in Randy Carrazco. Atterbury came up next and also hit a bases loaded single, but his drove in two runs. Hilario Garcia later hit a sacrifice fly and that was followed by Atterbury scoring on a throwing error. The inning was capped off by a 2-RBI single through the left side by Carrazco.

    Mt. San Antonio added a run in the seventh inning, but the Knights' relievers, Andrew Macmahon and Cole Chandler, shut down the Mounties the rest of the way.

    Alex Bernal got the start for the Knights and gave up only three hits in four shutout innings. Macmahon earned the win while giving up two earned runs off five hits in two innings of work.

    The Knights improved to 4-3 on the season.
