Fourth Place For Knights at Brubaker Invitational


The San Diego City College men's cross country team came in fourth place at the Brubaker Invitational at Irvine Regional Park, equaling their best finish of the 2018 season.

Knights Finish 7th at SoCal Preview Meet


In their first meet of the 2018 season, the San Diego City College men's cross country team finished 7th at the SoCal Preview, held at Cerritos College on Friday morning. Sophomore Edwin Mejia came in 18th overall with a time of 20:45.2 in the 4-mile race.

Knights Get 1st Place at Coach Downey Classic With 5 In Top 15


The San Diego City College men's cross country team won first place at the Coach Downey Classic on Friday with five Knights finishing in the top 15, including Edwin Mejia who came in seventh place.

Nobles Leads Knights to 4th Place Finish at Palomar Invitational


The San Diego City College men's cross country team opened up the season with a fourth place finish at the Palomar Invitational on Friday with Jose Nobles as their top runner with a time of 22:31.8, good for 21st overall.

Knights Defeat Imperial Valley 5K Course at Balboa Park


The San Diego City College men's cross country team earned a 20-35-point victory over Imperial Valley College on Friday, October 14 in Balboa Park. The Knights’ Ishmael Fernandez(Hoover) and Ryan Velasquez(Otay Ranch) led the way with first and second place finishes, respectively, over the 5K course followed by Jose Nobles(Otay Ranch) in 4th place and Isaiah Duenas(Olympian) in 5th place.

Knights Place 3rd at Coach Downey XC Classic


The San Diego City College men's cross country team had its best finish of the 2016 season on Friday with a third place finish at the Coach Downey XC Classic, held at Morley Field. Freshman Ryan Velasquez placed seventh overall with a time of 23:42 in the 4-mile race.

Ismael Fernandez Competes at UCSD Triton Invitational


This Spring, San Diego City College men's and women's cross country runners have been competing as an unofficial track club in events around San Diego. On Saturday, Ismael Fernandez competed in the men's 1500m at the UCSD Triton Invitational and placed fourth overall in heat seven with a time of 4:27.32. This was his first competition on the track ever.

Former Knights' Assistant Coach, Meb Keflezighi, Wins Boston Marathon


Meb Keflezighi, who was an assistant men's cross country coach in the Fall of 2000, has won the Boston Marathon. He is the first American man since 1983 to win the race.

Christopher Felix Competes In State Championship


San Diego City's top men's cross country runner, Christopher Felix, was the only Knight who qualified for the CCCAA State Championship and finished the 4-mile race in 22:46.49 with an average mile of 5:41. Felix came in 142nd out of 203 runners.

Knights Qualify For SoCal Championships


The San Diego City College men's cross country team qualified for the CCCAA Southern California championships after finishing 5th of five teams at the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference championships.
