Knights Finish 4th at PCAC Championship; Qualify For Regionals


The San Diego City College women's cross country team finished fourth out of six teams at the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference championships. It was the Knights' best finish of the season.

The Knights totaled 118 points and qualified for the Southern California championships, which will take place on Friday, Nov. 8 in Santa Clarita. 

San Diego Mesa and Palomar tied for first place at the meet with 36 points followed , Cuyamaca (57), San Diego City (118), Imperial Valley (128), and Grossmont (159).

Elysia Young was the Knights top finisher with a time of 23 minutes, 32 seconds for 19th place. 

Alma Nava (24:37) and Linda Castro (24:44) came in 25th and 26th, respectively. 

It is the second year in a row that the Knights have qualified for the regional championships.
