Knights Split Doubleheader at Allan Hancock


The Knights split a doubleheader on Saturday at Allan Hancock College, losing the first game, 8-7, then coming back with a decisive 11-2 win in the second game.

Sophomores Katie Dowdy and Amanda Diaz were named to the 2015 California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association (3CFCA) Academic All-State Team and will be recognized at an awards ceremony at the CCCAA Softball championships in Bakersfield, Calif. during the weekend of May 15.

Ellstrom's Walk-Off Single Lifts Knights to Victory Over IVC


Freshman Malin Ellstrom hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Knights a 3-2 home victory over Imperial Valley.

Knights Visit NAS North Island


To help honor Women's History Month, the SDCC softball team was invited to tour Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 14 on March 23 at Naval Air Station North Island.

Rodriguez Hits Walk-Off Double in 10th to Beat MSJC, 5-4


Freshman second baseman Kimberly Rodriguez hit an RBI double in the bottom of the 10th inning that catapulted the Knights to 5-4 home victory over Mt. San Jacinto and snapped a five-game losing streak.

The SDCC softball team dropped its fifth consecutive game after losing at home, 2-0, to Imperial Valley on Wednesday afternoon.

Knights Defeat Ventura & Long Beach On Consecutive Days


The Knights won consecutive games over the weekend, defeating Ventura, 6-3, on Friday and shutting out Long Beach, 2-0, on Saturday to improve to 3-2 on the young 2015 season.

Shaw, Leigh-Pink, Houston Receive All-PCAC Honors


The Pacific Coast Athletic Conference has announced that three San Diego City College softball players have been selected to the All-Pacific Coast Athletic Conference team. Meghan Shaw and Brianna Leigh-Pink were named to the All-PCAC second team, while Tiana Houston was given honorable mention.
