    Knights Play Top Teams At Long Beach Tournament

    The Knights traveled to Long Beach on Saturday to participate, along with 12 of the 14 other community college men's volleyball teams, in the Long Beach City College tournament. The purpose of the one-day tournament was to have each team scrimmage with several of other teams and to get the players some valuable playing time before starting the season.

    Coach Pratte Sends Team on a Scavenger Hunt Through the City

    The San Diego City College men’s volleyball team participated in a scavenger hunt last Thursday that Head Coach Kevin Pratte set up for them. The scavenger hunt sent the team to Seaport Village, Downtown, Balboa Park, South Mission Beach and other great San Diego locations.

    Knights Take Care of Business in the Classroom

    Head Coach Kevin Pratte was happy to announce that the men’s volleyball team was successful in the classroom during the Fall semester, earning a 3.23 grade point average as a team. “This program competes in everything we do in life," said Pratte. "Not only do we want to be a successful volleyball team, but we want to be extremely successful in the classroom and active in the San Diego community."

    Over the weekend of November 7, men's volleyball players Shane McAdams, Stephen Buhl, Michael Sanchez, Jacob Smith, and Rory Abraham went to Deer Park Monastery in Escondido, Calif. for a three-day mindfulness retreat with their Asian Philosophy class.

    Coach Pratte Takes Zack Kramer to Downtown Rotary

    On Wednesday, October 29, Head Coach Kevin Pratte took freshman middle blocker Zach Kramer to the Downtown Rotary, a club he joined in early September. “When I moved to San Diego, I wanted to join an organization that focused on making a difference in San Diego," said Pratte. "So far, many of my fellow rotarians have become mentors and they have modeled excellent behavior for me to emulate in the community.

    Knights Take Break From the Court To Play Halloween Wiffle Ball

    The San Diego City College men's volleyball team took a much-needed break from practice on Firday and went down to Petco Park to play in a wiffle ball game for some Halloween fun. "The guys have been working really hard this off season and I figured it would be good to mix it up," said Head Coach Kevin Pratte.

    This past week, San Diego City College men’s and women's volleyball coach Kevin Pratte became an official member of the San Diego Downtown Rotary Club. The Rotary meets once a week to discuss how to make a difference in the San Diego community and actively volunteer in the community to help make San Diego one of the finest cities to live in.
