KnightsSan Diego City's women's cross-country team just completed their most successful season in over 30 years. The last time a women’s cross-country team from City College qualified for the state championship meet was in 1989, where the team took second place.

Among the season highlights and program records:

  • The team took 2nd place at the conference championship – tying second-best finish.
  • The team extended their streak of qualifying to the regional meet to 4-years.
  • The team has now had a representative at the state championship for 4-years running.
  • The team qualified as a group for the state championship for the first time in 32 years.

 

San Diego City's women's soccer team also had an exciting season, accomplishing new program records for the college.

“I am so proud of the girls and all of their accomplishments. They set their goals before the season and worked tirelessly to achieve them week in and week out,” said Tony Arnesen, Head Soccer Coach. “The amount of adversity and setbacks they faced throughout the season were difficult, but they used each obstacle as an opportunity to grow and push forward.”

  • First time making state playoffs in program history
  • Most overall wins in program history
  • Most conference wins in program history
  • Best win percentage in program history
  • Most goals in program history
  • Longest winning streak in program history
