San Diego City College to Offer 4-Year Degree in Cyber Defense and Analysis
San Diego City College has secured approval to offer the first bachelor’s degree in the college’s 108-year history. Students at the downtown San Diego campus will soon be able to earn a four-year degree in the burgeoning field of cyber security.
City College's Proposal to Offer a 4-Year Degree in Cybersecurity
On November 14, San Diego City College traveled to Sacramento to present on our efforts to launch a bachelor’s degree in Cyber Defense and Analysis to the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges. We were joined by two fellow community colleges who also presented their respective programs. This matter will then go before the Board of Governors in January 2023 for their consideration. Our presentation shows how the expansion of 30 additional baccalaureate degrees in California community colleges will help offer key workforce training for growing industry sectors that are not currently offered by the University of California (UC) or California State University (CSU) systems.
