These courses are part of the A.S. degree in Music Production Technology, but all interested students are welcome.

MUSIC 108: The Business of Music

A comprehensive survey of the music business. Topics include songwriting, music publishing, copyright, music licensing, unions and guilds, agents and managers, artists and management, the record industry, artists' recording contracts, studios and engineers, and music for media. 3 units. Offered Fall and Spring.

MUSIC 118: Music Entrepreneurship

An exploration of techniques for developing your own music career. 3 units. Offered Spring only.

MUSIC 220A-D: Music Marketing and Promotion I-IV

An exploration of techniques for developing your own music career. 2 units. Offered Fall and Spring, beginning Spring 2023.
