Welcome to City College!

A Special Message From Our ASG President

Diego's Picture

Welcome to City College! I am Diego Bethea, ASG President and a Student Trustee for the San Diego Community College District. I'm also a current Umoja scholar and a member of the Hermanos Unidos/Brothers United (HUBU) learning community.

This is my second year at City College. My major is Business, and my long term goal is to become a businessman and explore all the different countries in the world. City College it is an amazing place that has indefinite potential! We have a beautiful campus and I hope you have the opportunity to see the terrific spaces during your time at City!

Last year, I had the distinct honor of serving as the ASG Treasurer, which gave me keen insight as to the needs and desires of students at City. Joining ASG was one of the best decisions I made while I pursue my Associate’s Degree.  I see student leadership on campus an integral part of the college community.

As the newly elected ASG President, I plan on focusing on community. Students want to be confident in themselves and need to know about all of the support available to them, and that asking for help is a strength. I want to create events and activities to promote and celebrate student life and create spaces for fun, engagement and making connections!

I look forward to all of the possibilities and want to personally invite you to discover ASG and consider becoming an essential part of the campus community where ALL students matter! Please join us at our weekly meetings every Friday from 10:00-11:30 AM.

Again, welcome back! Here’s to a terrific semester full of exciting experiences at City! Go Knights!
