What is ICAN? The Inclusive City Achievement Network is the newest learning community at San Diego City College focusing on enriching the academic journey and success of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) students.
ICAN Mission
Our mission is to provide a supportive environment for AAPI students. We currently offer courses tailored to AAPI perspectives, the AAPI Alliance Club, and exclusive academic counseling.

San Diego City College is committed to supporting Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) students in various ways, fostering a diverse and inclusive academic community. This support begins with a welcoming and inclusive campus environment, where students from AAPI backgrounds can feel comfortable and valued. You belong here!
The college offers a range of services to meet the needs of our AAPI students. These services include dedicated and culturally sensitive counseling and advising, which helps AAPI students navigate their academic journey while addressing any specific challenges they may face. San Diego City College also promotes cultural awareness and engagement through clubs and organizations, providing platforms for AAPI students to connect, share experiences, and celebrate their heritage.
