"My wife, Marcia, and I took two Spanish Courses outside of the U.S. with Rosy and SD City College, the first in Costa Rica in the summer and the second in Madrid in January, both were incredible experiences. Costa Rica is an incredibly beautiful location, the cloud forest, the volcanos, the unmatchable biodiversity. The family we lived with were wonderful. They had family coming and going. We had our own room, but there was always someone or someones new dropping in. And, we always learned so much more about the country from everyone we encountered. Spain in January was very unlike Costa Rica in June, but I had so much opportunity to explore a country I had previously had very limited experience with. There’s just way too much to talk about. I fell in love with Madrid and Spain. The Alhambra…the museums…the castles… And, Rosy is such a perfect professor. I’ve never enjoyed a class so much as one she was teaching. The balance of cultural experience and classroom instruction was perfect. These two out of our U.S. excursions were two of the most valuable and memorable of my life. Love you, Rosy. You are one of the people I've come to most respect in my life."
