Free, Family-Friendly Music Festival Featuring Local Artists and Student Talent Coming to City College on May 31, 2025
The Commercial Music Program presents the Soundsation Music & Arts Festival, a student-run, family-friendly event, on Saturday, May 31, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Curran Plaza on the San Diego City College campus. This year, the festival will be headlined by The Neighborhood Kids, winners of the 2025 San Diego Music Award for Best New Artist and Best Hip-Hop Artist. They will be supported by local favorites The Band Cope and numerous student bands and DJs. In addition to five hours of non-stop music on two outdoor stages, the festival will feature free food, local art and clothing vendors, and community engagement. About MUSIC@CITY
The San Diego City College Music and Commercial Music Programs offers a wide variety of classes for music lovers and aspiring music creators, both on campus and online. Students can study music history, music business, and piano. In the Commercial Music Program, aspiring artists, music producers, and engineers can take their music technology skills to the next level. As an AVID Learning Partner, the program offers Pro Tools certification as well as training in Ableton Live, Reason, and Logic Pro X. Students can also explore music business, live sound, and audio for multimedia. Facilities include two Mac-based computer music labs and a state-of-the-art recording studio. The program offers an Associate of Science Degree in Music Production Technology as well as a professional certificate in audio production.

MUSIC@CITY hosts a wide variety of music events throughout the year, both on campus and online.
